Money Matters

I think that money is a complicate topic. I have lucky for have a really good family, and money is not a problem in our life. But nobody scape for some little difficulties about it; I remember when I was only a child and my father was unemployed. In this period of my life, I have to do a special effort to save money any way. We try to not leave the light on a long time, also to use a little bit of shampoo or toothpaste. Even in my birthday, my parents give me the bike of my oldest sister completely painted new, I never realized. In Christmas they give us new toys mixed with toys that belonged to us (old toys).

I like to lend money to other people when I have, and when I borrow money from other people I try to pay them back quicly, but sometimes I forget it........

Im not involucred so much with money, becuase only my parents manege it... to be continueddd

Suggestions to improve my faculty

The Medicine´s Falculty is ubicate in Independence, It is a big building with many classes, corridors, a great library, a gim, a place to photopic and some kiosks to buy something to eat.

I really think that there are many relevant points to considered to improve this university. The first one is the most important to me: the grassy areas. In compared with another universities, this one have only few areas of grass or "green areas", that in my opinion it is indispensable when we have a free time between classes, or to join with another classmates and have fun or study. This places can be crowded or with the wet grass almost always. It is important that the students have this places to relax and be confortable after a large and sometimes bored class.

The second point to considered are the bathrooms. In a place that the student spend most of the day, it is really necessary to have a good place to satisfy their needs. Most bathroom doors do not close and only in morning and part of the afternoon the bathrrom have toilet paper, we always have to bring some from our house.

Another relevent idea to improve this faculty, is to implement new computers in the library. The numbers of computers is good, but all of them are in really bad conditions. For example when I used internet I know that I´m gooing to take twice as long than if I was in my home.

In conclussion my first step to improve the faculty is to search areas to planting grass, you have to considered: Places are, you only have to find them.

If the Medicine´s Faculty improve this three points I think that it can have more happy students with a better quality of life.

A travel with my family..

Three years ago, the first two weeks of Febreary I and my family went on a trip to the south of our country, Chile and part of Argentina. My grandfather want to do something special to reunited the all family and have a good experience; but also he wanted to say goodbye to his field, a place that have many of our memories when we were kids.
He had to sell his field because he was very old to worked in it and he had not money to keep this great place. This situation caused many problems in my family. His sons (3) and daughters(3), including my mother, take differents positions, some supported the idea to sell the field so my grandfather can have a good retirement, but others thought that this peace of land was a good heredity for them.
Well, my grandfather want to do this trip to join my family again, but in this case would be in another place, Calafate.
I think that it was the best vacation that I had, not only because I have the opportunity to be with my 20 cousins, my 8 uncles and my grandparents, it was great because we were all join in great and magnific places sharing the same happiness together.

Tourist attractions in Santiago

My cousin Francisca Raty live in Coyhaique and when she visited me here in Santiago for five days I chose the best places to show her and have a good time. The first day we went to an ice field in Parque Arauco becuase she love ice skating, then we go to the cinema in the same mall to watch a romance movie and be relax.

The second day we went to the zoo in San Cristobal ´s hill; she want to be a veterinary and the animals are one of her passions. The cablecar its located near in the same hill and I supposed that was a great opportunity to have a view of Santiago from above.

The third day we went to a restaurant that I like very much, Gatsby. The great thing that characterized this restaurant is that you can eat all the food that you want with the same price; It is a buffet, so you pay the plate but not the amount of food. After that great meal we need to do some sport, and in that case tennis was the sport that motive us in that moment. There are a tennis court near my house in Camino El Alba, I like this place because is cheap and not many people go, so it is a quiet area.

The fourth day we go out in the nigth to Murano that is a disco that I go with my friends approximately once a month, so she can met some friends of mine and we dance all nigth.

It was the last day, and she have to leave Santiago in the afternoon so we only have the morning to have fun. I think that Fantasilandia would be the last activity. It is a amusement park with great and scary games that make you scream and some times throw up.: is perfect to leave santiago satisfied and with eager to return.

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I really want to visit or know a lot of countries but, if I want to choose only one, I think that Sudafrica is the best place to go. One of the motivations that impulse me to go there is that my uncle is leaving in that country and each year he bring us videos and photographs of beautiful and interesting places. But more than the place, is to meet and know new and different people that drives me to choose this country.

The only thing that I know about it are pictures or stories that tell me my uncle about experiences that he had there. My uncle is a priest and a missionary in Sudafrica since 2000; for him I could know two aspects that I find specialy interesting. The First one is the different type of pray that they have compared with Chile, because generaly in the church they sing and even dance, and ours mass are more serious or formal. The other thing that I find interesting is the differents languages that they talk; my uncle have to learn about 7 or 8 languages because in Sudafrica not exit a universal one.

I want to know the life of persons who are not similar to me. I want to learn from them and get a broader view of the world to be more caring and humane.
I dont want to leave there, neither work or study. I only want to have fun, and learn from a different culture and lifestyle.

My First Term

My experiences during this first term are many; First I will talk about the bad points that I had to pass. This year I start to go to the university, and this is a big step in my life. I have to meet new people, study more and get used to a different lifestyle. Now I pass ten hours out of my house and the locomotion is much slower than when I was in the school. This year I am thinking about study the most time of the day, either because I already not study for some test or when I study a lot but I fell nervous.
The other bad point is that I have less time to have fun. I meet with my friends and with my boyfriend almost never, and they are very important to me to lose contact with them. The sports is another activity that I set aside for study. In the school I do atheltics but now the only thing that I do is walk. I need the sports because they are part of my life.
But not all is bad, there are many good points that are important to say. I could experiment new experiences with different people, I do new friends, I strengthened the relation with my boyfriend, and I think that all this study can help me to be the person that I want: A good physical therapist.

Sir Ken Robinson: "Do Schools Kill Creativity"

The talk of the Sir Ken Robinson is one of the really good talks that I heard in my life. I think that the topic is very important to propose in an audience, because like He said, its a thing that involucrated to everyone. When someone show an important idea is very relevant to do in a good way, and he did it possible. He managed to combine differents elements that get as results the listening of all the people that be there. He planted the idea and reforce it by examples of a common day, like the history of the children who draw a picture of God. In consecuence, he try to bring near the problem to the reality, thus, everyone could feel identified.
I agree when he said that the schools kill creativity. When I was in school I think that one of the most important thing of the life is to study and get good marks, because in this way I can have the possibility to go to the university and be a professional. In this society, work and have money are an important elements that you MUST have; If you don´t, you are nobody. For this reason the artistics carees, like music, dance, art, drama wich get money its not easy, are not a good instruments to realize this porpuse.
He said something that I like so much: "Creativity is the process of having original ideas that have value more often than not comes about through the interaction of different disciplinary ways of seeing things." And He mention in this part the example of the difference between men and women, specifically he and his wife. The second one are better at multi-tasking. When she cook, she can do 5 more things, but when the men cook, he have to be alone and relax, nobody have to interrupted his work. In the same way that men-women are complementary becuase they are differents, the society need a diversty of disciplinary to grow up and development.
The last thing that I like, is that he talk with naturaly, with some jokes ocasionaly, but he never abandoned the opportunity to make us think. In the final of many coments he do questions to try to incorporate us to the problem.

I want to finish this comment with a history. My cousin work in a school, and she told me that one day the teacher ask to the childrens: who wants to be a firefighter?. Some of them raised their hands. But then she said: Who wants to be a lawyer, an engineer, or a doctor? If you want to be one of them you have a premium ice cream. In this moment all the childrens, including those who wanted to be firefighters, raised their hands...
